The first principal of Tax Fairness is that a taxpayer who earns the same income as another pay the same tax. To Insure absolute Fairness it will be necessary to eliminate all deductions, exemptions, and credits with no exceptions.

No Taxpayer should be Penalized for inflation over which he/she has no control. This problem can be avoided by simply instructing financial institutions to subtract the loss in principal due to inflation when reporting Taxable income on form 1099.

Most Taxpayers either work for a small business or are self employed (or retired), they do not have access to the largely untaxed benefits afforded Large Business . They are taxed on all of their income. Business should be prohibited from deducting unreasonable benefits from their taxable income. The resulting increase in Business Tax Revenue could be used to cut tax rates 25% on personal income.

The Tax Code is so complex even professional tax preparers can not always understand it. We can free most American Taxpayers from the complexities of the current tax code by eliminating Itemized deductions. This can be done on a voluntary basis by reforming the 1040-EZ form to allow most taxpayers to use it. Taxpayers would indicate their support for this tax reform by choosing a new 6 line single rate 1040-EZ Form.

The tax code declares taxpayers are rich by placing them in a higher tax bracket at earnings levels that are far too low. If you are a Single taxpayer the IRS will put you in the 28% bracket at an income of $23,250 + 7,200 = $33,440. For Joint filers 28% this level is 43,850 + 13,550 = $57,400. Meanwhile Congressman who make these laws vote themselves salaries of $143,000. It would only be fair if we demanded that no American family should be declared rich and placed in the second tax bracket who earns less the salary of a congressman.
